Sermon Series:  Missio Dei
Sermon Title:  Missional Living
Scripture Reading:  Luke 9:51-10:20; 12:13-21; 16:19-23; 19:11-21

One of the great challenges to the people of God from the very beginning has been how to engage with the broken world they found themselves in. What is an appropriate response? How are we to be disciples of a holy God in a sometimes unholy world?

In Missional Living (5 of 6), Jake Lee calls us to pay attention to the life Jesus lived before His disciples, and the call He put on their lives in discerning what it means to be the people of God in the midst of a chaotic culture, by asking the question, "What is failure in the Kingdom of God"? And what might be the opposite of that?

Not Against Flesh & Blood (7 of 7) by

In the beginning the Triune God created an orderly universe out of love. Then somewhere in the primordial past a portion of his angelic agents began working against the Creator—war in the unseen realms! In this series, David addresses how things came to be broken the way they are today, and how the spiritual forces of evil are still at work exploiting human weakness and opposing God's will. It's a struggle between good and evil, but ultimately the real battle is not one of flesh and blood. In the final message of the series, David talks about evangelism, and how Christ promised that the gates of hades would not prevail against the church.

The Kingdom Effect (7 of 9) by

The Kingdom Effect: How Christ & the Kingdom Changes Everything

Like the theory known as the butterfly effect, or the mustard seed spoken about by Jesus (Matt 13:31-32), the Kingdom starts small, seemingly insignificant, and grows to make a massive impact on its surroundings. This effect begins with you! And then it spills over and sweeps across the landscape of all life on earth. In this series, David presents the gospel in a way that will bring our lives in Christ and his Kingdom into focus. In the seventh message, David helps us consider the best way for the church to engage society and culture.
